Richmond Heights Middle School’s Zoo Magnet is a one-of-a-kind program in Miami, offering students the chance to learn where classrooms come alive. Imagine studying at Zoo Miami’s 290-acre open-air campus, home to more than 1,200 exotic animals. John A. Ferguson High School Magnet Tour

You're invited to experience the Falcon life up close! Join us for a one-hour Magnet Tour where you’ll explore our classrooms, meet inspiring teachers, and hear directly from our amazing students about what makes our Magnet academies soar.

Students and Parents interested in attending the nations only Conservation Biology program will have an opportunity to visit the campus and observe the amaizing work the students and teachers do.  Visitors will be be able to visit the Main Campus and the Zoo Research Station.  

TERRA Tuesday Tours are weekly tours of our campus. A presentation by the Magnet Lead Teacher, key faculty/staff and students cover an overview of  the school, the magnet application process, admissions criteria and important dates. Students and families visit the Magnet and VPA classrooms, interact with students and faculty and have a Q&A session.

VIP SCHOOL TOUR - RSVP required and Space is limited

 Join us for a tour of Frank C. Martin K-8 Center!  Come and learn more about the IB Primary and Middle Years Programme.  Tours begin promptly at 9:00 AM and will be completed by 10:00 AM. Students are welcome to join us for the tour.  We will provide them with a tardy pass to school.

Tours will be held on Tuesdays (K-5) and Thursdays (6-8) from October through December from 9:00-10:00.

Join us for a special AMS School Tour where future Eagles and their families will get an inside look at what makes Herbert A. Ammons Middle School soar! The event will begin with a short presentation highlighting our school’s programs, opportunities, and spirit. Families will then have the chance to get their questions answered and enjoy a guided tour of our new building and classrooms, seeing firsthand the vibrant learning environment our students experience every day.

Discover how our STArts (Science, Technology & Arts Exploration & Innovation) whole-school STEAM magnet blends design thinking, environmental science, marine biology, space science, and visual/graphic arts across our “Space • Sea • Land” themes. During this guided tour, visitors will explore classrooms and the STEM Lab, see student work in action, and learn how our partnerships (e.g., Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, NASA, FIU STEM, Barry University, Discovery Education) enhance real-world learning. Meet school leaders and the magnet team, get answers about eligibility (interest-based—no entrance criteria), and learn how STArts supports military-connected families as a Purple Star School. We are proudly a 2024–2025 STEM Gold Designation campus and a Magnet Schools of America School of Excellence (2025).
