Dr. Rolando Espinosa K-8 Center proudly announces the launch of the DREcomm: Center for Communications, a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students from Kindergarten to 6th grade to explore the world of media, storytelling, and public speaking in the heart of Doral’s thriving media hub.
Why DREcomm?
This unique Magnet program opens the door for students to:
- Kindergarten through 2nd Grade: Build foundational communication skills through art, music, storytelling, and interactive presentations. Young learners will explore expression through celebrations of their work, fostering confidence and creativity.
- 3rd through 5th Grade: Learn the basics of public speaking, media literacy, and digital storytelling. Students will create their own podcasts, practice persuasive speaking, and use technology to enhance communication.
- 6th Grade: Dive into hands-on experiences in journalism, video production, broadcasting, and speech writing. Students will collaborate with local industry professionals, creating content inspired by real-world media.*
*Grades 7 and 8 will be added in the following years, expanding one grade level at a time.
